What a wonderful opportunity we have had this summer to grow deeper in the Lord! It has also been a time to renew and deepen existing relationships and build new ones. Together we have dined on salmon, gourmet desserts, and all kinds of other culinary delights. We have had fun and fellowship.

This week as I was reflecting on all the joy, laughter, and growth that we have experienced this summer, the Lord called my attention to the importance of building and maintaining healthy, godly relationships within His Body. How desperately we need each other!

Folks, it is God’s design that each of us be fully investing, not only in Him, but with one another. And so if you are one who is fully invested in the life of the church and the Body of Christ at FBC, I encourage you not only to grow deeper in the relationships that you have established, but also to keep meeting new people and making more friends. If you are shy or maybe you are new and don’t know very many people in our church family, I encourage you to take a small step forward and see what happens.
