What an amazing summer!!! The last few weeks in youth we’ve been reflecting on everything that God has done in our lives and us as a group this summer and preparing for their return to school. Students have been sharing about the things they’ve learned and how they’ve grown in their personal time with God and their relationship with Him.

At the beginning of the summer the Lord had us begin developing deeper relationships with Him and each other by spending more time together. We combined the Jr. High and High School meetings, did fun activities together, and weekly met for Bible study and coffee outside church. We went to summer camp at the beginning of the summer this year, which really bonded us togeth- er early and had a lasting impact. Be- cause of this, our students built on those relationships throughout the summer by being together through activities planned and spontaneous. While there are chal- lenges ahead, God is really solidifying a community of kids who want to be here at FBC and want to participate in the ac- tivities of the church. They’ve been here for BBQ’s, game nights, and workdays.

The greatest part about the summer is what the students said the Lord did in their lives. They’ve been sharing about increased time with the Lord daily, changes in their attitudes and decisions and commitments to trust Him more.
