Communion and Baptism Teams
Preparing the Communion table for our monthly communion services; and provide assistance and support to Baptism candidate whenever this ceremony is held.
Usher's and Greeter Teams
Volunteers that greet and welcome people to our church on Sundays. The hands of "Christian fellowship" to all who enter the Lord's sanctuary.
Adult Christian Education
Sunday morning Bible classes, Church Library and The Fellowship Café.
Cares and Needs
Serving the Lord by providing services to people in the congregation that have special needs such as, hospital visitation, memorial services, recognitions, and many other activities.
Discipleship
Our Lord, in the Great Commission, commanded His disciples to "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you." (Matthew 28:19-20)
Evangelism
Bringing the good news about Jesus Christ to our community through special events and outreach programs. We are all called to be witnesses to what God has done in our lives (Isaiah 44:8; Acts 1:8)
Facilities
Providing ongoing maintenance and improvements to the church building and grounds.
Prayer Chain
Brothers and Sisters in Christ who minister to each other through prayer.
Finance
Administration and oversight of church resources.
Home Bible Studies
Weekly Home Bible Studies are about learning from your peers in a small group. This is an opportunity to fellowship with other believers at FBC, study God's word, discuss how to apply its truths to our lives, and supporting one another through prayer and accountability.
Christian Education Library Committee
Assist in revitalizing the church library as an important resource to facilitate spiritual growth and development. Volunteers are needed to aid in the accession of books and to staff the library when it reopens. Available are books aimed at aiding Junior High, High School, and College students grow in their faith as well as biblical and theological references for Adults. Many are already accessional and are on the shelves.
The Information Booth
Information and printed materials are available to visitors about the programs offered at First Baptist Church of San Mateo.
